I have to match this size for the front axle since it has to fit into the holes built into the chassis. For example, my axles measure exactly 2.25mm with a caliper, which doesn't seem to be a size I can buy in either axles, bearings, or gears. One frustrating thing is I haven't been able to figure out what parts are actually compatible with my cars. So far I've sanded the tires flat and sanded down the guide base to bring the front ends down, which was very effective, but I want to go further. I have the Scalextric cars that came with the Sunset Speedway set, plus the Scalextric Passat C3737, and I want to start upgrading and tuning things.
